West Ham fans react to Sturridge links

Daniel Sturridge is a tricky sort of player to get your head around, as he has an abundance of talent but often succumbs to injury problems throughout the season.

The England international is capable of hitting 20 goals in the campaign easily but it would also not be surprising to see him hit double figures in the injuries he picks up- which begs the question, is he worth it?

That’s what West Ham fans have had to ask themselves this week after Sturridge was linked with a move to the London Stadium, as Liverpool are ready to cut their losses in a striker who has netted 43 goals in 77 Premier League appearances for the Reds.

Those numbers put Sturridge amongst the best in the division but his lack of consistency is an issue. However, if the 28-year-old can find his feet at West Ham he could be the catalyst to drive the Hammers towards regular European football.

There’s no right or wrong answer to this question and West Ham fans have been very vocal in their views on the matter.
